Free awareness event for 3rd Sector Organisations

Social enterprises, charities and voluntary organisations are now having to compete with each other and commercial organisations for contracts and funding from the Public Sector. Failure to understand the implications and improving competitive business standards will result in many organisations in the Third Sector (TSOs) closing. On the afternoon of the 25th July (4:15-8:00pm), Protégé Management will be running an awareness event sponsored by Basingstoke & Deane Borough Council. It is offered free to all Third Sector organisations including social enterprises, charities and voluntary organisations operating within the BDBC boundaries. The objectives of the afternoon are catered around directors, executives, senior managers of organisations in the Third Sector or individuals considering starting a community organisation or social enterprise. Attendees will come away with an appreciation of:

  • the procurement process
  • the Public Sector's drive for 'value for money'
  • key policies and plans being asked for by local authorities
  • the benefits of collaborative partnerships
  • the most common errors in submitting tenders
