Trained to tender thanks to funding from Winchester City Council
Funding from Winchester City Council has enabled forward-thinking businesses to learn about selling to the public sector. Around 30 local companies benefited from the free training by Hampshire-based Protégé Management Ltd who taught them all they need to know about doing business with councils, government departments, hospitals and other public bodies. Winchester City Council’s Economic Development Officer, Kate Crawford, was delighted with the quality of the training and the excellent feedback she received from participants. Delegates came from across the district, including Alison Fullbrook from Right Management in Whiteley. Commenting after the event she said: “The training course was really useful, and the information we were given far exceeded my expectations. This is the kind of course I would recommend to colleagues both inside my company and outside my industry.” The training course was delivered in line with Winchester’s Economic Action Plan, and fits in with the economic prosperity priority of Winchester City Council’s Corporate Strategy.
